On January 12, 1999 at 3 p.m. the victim, Walter Rodriguez, was discovered dead inside his apartment. The suspect, Luis A. Gonzalez, was a roommate with victim. Both individuals were involved in the sale of drugs within the apartment. Both individuals had committed an armed robbery of a sandwich shop. Suspect Luis A. Gonzalez has outstanding warrant for armed robbery and Federal UFAP and may be in Puerto Rico. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office Homicide Unit at (813) 247-8660.
