On January 17th, 2006, Deputies responded to the wooded area (known transient camp) located in the northwest corner of Forsyth Road and Muskogee Street in regards to a shooting. The victim reported earlier he was pistol whipped by some unknown Hispanic males. Suspect was seen fleeing the area in a red Ford Mustang. The victim died as a result of the gunshot wound.
