Cold Case Spotlight

Scharod Fleming was attending a teen dance at the YMCA in the Tenderloin neighborhood of San Francisco on January 17, 2004. After two fights broke out and spilled into the street police arrived (around 10:30pm) to defuse the situation. While the teens gathered in front of the building around 11:50pm a gunman opened fire on the crowd, shooting multiple people and killing 15-year-old Scharod Fleming. The Office of the Mayor of San Francisco has authorized a $100,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the suspect responsible for the murder of Scharod Fleming. At about 5:30 a.m. on June 15, 1989 Merrimack Police received a call for service from Karen Jimenez, mother of Megan Jimenez. When the police arrived at 15 Sharon Avenue in Merrimack, NH, the officer found Megan, age 2½, unresponsive and not breathing. Megan was not revived and was declared dead at the hospital that same day. An autopsy determined that her death was a homicide as a result of long-term pattern physical abuse.
