On 11/2/1988, the body of Roshonda McGuire, a 2 year old black female was found on Interstate 10 in Lake City, Florida. It appeared that the infant was thrown from a moving vehicle and died from those injuries sustained. Investigation revealed Roshanda was last seen with her mother Detra McGuire leaving their residence two hours before she was found deceased. The whereabouts of Detra were unknown at the time and as of this day, she has not been located. It is beleived Detra was also murdered. No suspects identified. 36-year-old Sandra L. Johnson was last seen on April 20, 1989, at her place of employment, the Wagon Wheel Café, on US Hwy 17 South in Bartow. On April 26, 1989, her body was found in a wooded area off Old Bartow/Eagle Lake Road in Bartow. Her panties and blue jeans were pulled down around her knees and her shirt was pulled up around her neck. Her cause of death is undetermined but it appears that she had extensive head damage. Lisa Wright, age 26, who lived at 661 Union Avenue, Laconia, NH was found strangled to death in her apartment on December 10, 1991. Lisa was last seen on the night of December 6, 1991 when she was dropped off at her apartment. In January 1992, Alan Pete was charged with Second Degree Murder for killing Lisa. The murder charge against Pete was dropped in March 1993, a few months before trial because one of the witnesses recanted earlier statements he had made to the police. No one else was ever charged in connection with this case.
