On 08/12/1988, a body of an unknown black female was found on a tram road in a wooded area off County Road 131. The body was partially clothed and wrappend in a green blanket along with plastic. Identification was made and victim was identified as Patricia Gambles. Patricia was last seen at a store located in Worthington Springs on 08/11/1988 with a friend and co-workers. Several interviews were conducted with witnesses and possible suspects with no relevant information obtained. As of now, no suspect has been identified. Cold Case Spotlight

Officers called to West Beaver Street and North Myrtle Avenue just before 3 a.m. found Tammy Lynn Platt with a gunshot wound. She was rushed to the hospital, but died from her wounds. Police believe that the suspect stepped out into the road and started shooting at the car Tammy was riding in for unknown reasons. A person of interest was named and charged in a separate crime where he used the same weapon that killed Tammy Platt. While there was not enough evidence to charge the suspect with Tammy's death, he was convicted of the other crime and sentenced.
